Detailed Itinerary – 4 Days
Immerse yourself in Mount Toubkal and stunning ValleysMarrakech (450 m) → Imlil Valley → Aremd Village (1,900 m)
After breakfast, departure from Marrakech toward the High Atlas Mountains. The scenic drive takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and passes through beautiful mountain landscapes before arriving in the village of Imlil, the main gateway to Toubkal National Park. Upon arrival, meet the local trekking team and muleteers before beginning the hike through traditional Amazigh villages, terraced fields, and walnut groves overlooking the valley. The trail gradually ascends to the beautiful village of Aremd (also known as Armed), one of the most picturesque villages in the region, surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks and traditional stone houses. After arriving at the guesthouse, enjoy Moroccan mint tea and a traditional mountain dinner while taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the High Atlas Mountains. ### Overnight Traditional guesthouse in Aremd ### Walking Time Approximately 1–3 hours ### Meals Included * Lunch * Dinner
Aremd (1,900 m) → Chamharouch → Toubkal Refuge (3,207 m)
After breakfast, continue trekking along the Mizane Valley toward the mountain refuge. The route passes through the spiritual village of Chamharouch, an important pilgrimage site known for its white-painted shrine and peaceful riverside setting. After a short break, continue the steady ascent through rugged mountain scenery toward the refuge. Lunch is served along the trail before the final climb to the Toubkal Refuge, located at the foot of Mount Toubkal and surrounded by spectacular high-altitude landscapes. The afternoon is dedicated to rest and acclimatization before summit day. ### Overnight Toubkal Refuge ### Walking Time Approximately 5–6 hours ### Meals Included * Breakfast * Lunch * Dinner
Toubkal Refuge → Mount Toubkal Summit (4,167 m) → Aremd Village
Early morning departure for the summit ascent. The trail climbs gradually over rocky slopes and mountain ridges before reaching the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest point in North Africa. On clear days, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the High Atlas Mountains and toward the Sahara Desert in southern Morocco. After spending time at the summit for photos and rest, descend back to the refuge for lunch before continuing down to Aremd Village. This is the longest and most rewarding day of the trek, combining challenge, achievement, and unforgettable mountain scenery. ### Overnight Traditional guesthouse in Aremd ### Walking Time Approximately 8–10 hours ### Meals Included * Breakfast * Lunch * Dinner
Aremd → Imlil → Marrakech
After breakfast, enjoy a gentle descent through traditional mountain trails back toward Imlil Village. At the end of the trek, transfer back to Marrakech with arrival expected around late morning or midday.
